ABOUT
For the last 25 years, I've committed to a life and career defined by diversity of experience, creativity, loyalty, and leadership in service to entrepreneurial enterprise and the global social good. I've deployed my talents and pursued ambitious goals on both sides of the public-private sector divide beginning with a decade in strategic communications, and a now-two-decade arc toward my current post as a communications & marketing leader working toward the end of extreme poverty worldwide.

MY SKILLS
Tools of the Trade
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
Driving Smart Growth
I have been at the forefront of strategic thinking and implementation for clients in a range of industries, and with Concern Worldwide. I have taken leadership roles in the last three organizational strategic planning cycles, helping drive sustained growth of the organization and our communications and marketing practice.
BRAND DEVELOPMENT
Identity & Story
In both the private and non-profit sectors, I have led efforts to galvanize identity, story, and voice to compel greater engagement and action. Accomplishments range from capturing the spirit and talents of a small regional folk band, propelling them to global recording and touring reach, to leading three separate branding and re-branding initiatives in partnership with major agencies over the course of the last decade.
CONTENT EXCELLENCE
Strategy, Creativity, Editorial, Amplification
A through line from college to today has been a non-negotiable insistence on excellence in story telling and content production. Excellence does not always mean a high degree of polish, but it does mean directness and agility according to specific audience needs. At Concern, this has meant building a team of expert communicators, a suite of tools including an award-winning web site, and consistent, in some cases exponential, growth of an engaged community of followers and supporters.
TEAM BUILDING
Trust, Communication, Empathy & Fun
I have served as a leader both to my team and the wider organization, cultivating loyalty, long-term service, and high achievement in communications & marketing, and helping build a wider culture of bold, relentless effort and results, with healthy doses of empathy and fun along the way.
